Well its finally started acting like fall, its been raining all morning. I have been editing video for several hours now and I need a break. That got to thinking, I probably should get the blog caught up to date.
The video I have been working on is the first in a series. In these videos I hope to answer the question most all of us have, when you get to the river, exactly how do you locate the pay streak. Or, how to find the most gold in the short time you have on the river.
The video I am editing today, I shot last weekend. In this video, I cover how to locate a spot that will produce the most gold.
The plan is to do the second one on either panning or detecting. I will probably make that call the day I head out. This time of year the weather is a factor.
This series is going to be aimed at the beginner that has no idea how to find gold. Hopefully there will be a few tricks the experienced prospector can pick up also. To date, I have not finalized how many different videos there will be. I am try to shoot as much footage as I can before the weather runs me out of the hills for the winter. Once I can no longer go to the mountains, I can concentrate on the placer geology and research part of the process.
I will have more on this as I get a little more into it, for now - back to editing.
