Thought I would take a few minuets and fill you in on what's been going on and why it's been so long since my last post.
I have been on the Northern California coast by Fort Bragg fishing. I head over here every year about this time of year. I fish for rock fish, Salmon, Halibut, but the real reason I'm here is the albacore tuna. To get out to where the tuna are ( 20 to 50 miles out ) you need a calm ocean. In the 6 weeks I'm here I may only get out 2 or 3 times.
So far I have made one trip out, we came back with 15 tuna. Most of them were what are called peanuts, smaller fish, 5 to 10 pounds. Still I hade enough to put up 2 cases of can tuna with my half.
I will be here for about 3 more weeks, then its home and back to finding that gold!
Well it's late and I have some fishing to do tomorrow, that is right after I fix a small wiring problem on my boat.
