The last couple of weeks have been kinda fun! Sunny and hot one day cold and rainy the next. With the few dry days we had, I did manage to get a couple of videos done. And even found a little gold.
I received a email from a subscriber on how to process half a 5 gallon bucket of concentrates. This is a problem a lot of us have. I decided to do a how to video on "how to make a cleanup sluice".
I went to my local big box store ( Home Depot ) and got the items needed.
1 - 10 foot section of vinyl gutter
2 - 3 feet of black floor runner matting ( way more than needed - wanted to have some left over )
3 - a female hose end
4 - 1 foot of tubing that fit hose end
Total cost was $10.37, this was enough material to make 3 cleanup sluice boxes.
Even with the filming it took me less than 3 hours to make all three. By the time I got everything ready to set up and run the sluice, the weather started to look bad, the clouds were getting darker and the wind was blowing harder. I decided to wait a couple of days for the weather to get better before I do the video on how to set up and run the cleanup sluice.
Right now it looks like we have a few days of unsettled weather then at least a week of good sunny days. Might even be able to get into the hills for some treasure hunting!
