With the scouting trips done and the hills open for the new mining season, things are looking good. So far I have only found a couple of roads that were destroyed by last winter's rain. There are a few that received some damage but, are passable. The roads are a major concern because the state has quit repairing them. They might do a little work on major roads, but the small ones that get you into the back country, they would rather close them than fix them.
Have made a two trips to the high country so far, there were a couple of new areas I wanted to check out. One was a small creek and the other was a very large hydraulic workings on top of a mountain, I found gold in both spots. Working on editing those videos this week. Even if I had found no gold, the high Sierra's this time of year is so beautiful, just spending the day walking around is a treasure in it's self.
I have finished the first video in the new series, I want to have at least two done and one in the works before I start releasing them. Making videos with several people at a lot of different locations takes a lot longer than I thought! We are working on the second one now and doing the groundwork on the third one - maybe two more weeks?
Right now I need to get my stuff ready, I'm planning to head to them there hills and find some gold early tomorrow morning!
